MEET THE ARTIST

Herb Wolf is a Texan !!  Born in Dallas, he moved to Houston as a young boy.  He is a graduate of Austin High School and Texas A&M University.  He received a Scholarship to play football for Texas A&M University and played for Bear Bryant (Also a Junction Boy).  Herb has been an Architect for the past 50 years, and upon retirement, became a "Full Time Artist".  He has been drawing since he was a small child receiving a Scholarship to the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston while still in grammar school.  "Football" got in the way of "Art", but he continued to draw and paint in his spare time.  Now he has his own Art Gallery in Houston, TX and a second Gallery in Galveston, TX with over 400 Original paintings displayed. 

Herb has taken many workshops from fine teachers and continued to do so today.  He paints twice a year in Big Bend National Park with a special class taught by Bill Zaner and David Caton -- plus years of workshops with Bill Zaner.   He also took workshops in Greece, Portugal, and Sicily from artist/instructor Sparky LeBold.  He has studied with teachers Efim Furman and Dick Turner - both fine teachers.  He had a great watercolor workshop with Keith Andry that really improved his watercolor techniques.  He owes a lot to these fine teachers - plus the fellowship with these artists has been wonderful.

 "Prints" of the original Watercolors sell for $100.00 framed and $50.00 unframed.   Most Original Watercolors are Not For Sale.  

"Prints" of the Pen & Inks sell for $100.00 unframed.  Most Pen and Inks are Not For Sale.

"Originals" sell from $600.00 to $8,000.00 framed.  "Original Smalls" sell for $50.00 - $150.00 - 4x6 and 5x7.   Most 16 x 20 originals are around $1,600.00.   (Some are NFS.)
